CHEER BOOSTER CLUB

MEETING MINUTES

JULY 10, 2006

 

ATTENDEES:

 

Renee Lowe, Stephanie Sullivan, Tiffany Craig, Seleste Buriani, Kim Shontz, Pam Petersen, Mariana Dewinter, Kim McIntyre, Kim McElroy, Sonia McClellin, Shannon Wallace, Jennifer Hamuka, Dawn Howell, Mary Lopez

 

AGENDA:

 

      1.  Club Officers/Board Members were chosen: 

President:  Tiffany Craig

Vice President:  Kim McIntyre

Secretary:  Dawn Howell

Treasurer:  Renee Lowe

 

  1. Liz spoke briefly about the role of the officers.  Indicated that all parent’s involvement is necessary for the success of the group and that the Officers/Board Members will be making final decisions on fund raising and other events to take place.  The parent’s will run the group for the sole purpose of supporting the cheer squads in their activities.

 

  1. Shoes have been selected and sizes will be ordered so the girls can be fitted properly.  Uniform orders are being finalized.  Sweat suites will be ordered in the fall when the weather begins to cool down.

 

  1. Tax ID Number

 

    1. Vaca Valley Mortgage (Sonia McClellin) and Pacific Mortgage Solutions (Kim McIntyre) will be sponsoring the Booster Club in its acquisition of a Tax ID Number.  Kim McIntrye stated she will take charge of paperwork related to the process and will be contacting the Gymnastics Parent Club President for an advice and assistance they may be able to offer. 
    2. Dawn Howell will be doing research, with the assistance of Kim McIntyre, drawing up Booster Club By Laws prior to our next scheduled meeting.

 

  1. Adrenaline will be leaving for camp next week.  Liz is working on a tentative 3-day camp for Energy to take place at Aerials.  No dates have been set at this time.

 

  1. Our first competition will most likely take place in the month of October.  A schedule for events has not been set at this time.  More information will be provided as competitions and dates are confirmed. 

 

  1. Fund Raising:
    1. A couple of ideas were mentioned, i.e. Dinner (crab feed, Italian, etc)
    2. Cookie dough sales
    3. Coupon book sales (90% earning)
    4. Booths at community events

 

Fund Raising will be a primary topic of our next meeting so bring in all of your ideas!

 

       8.  Meetings will be held the first Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m.
