Meet Profits - $4,405. Also includes the Lot Sale. Balance in account - $5,813.47. Cathy expressed her thanks to all who contributed.

Non-Profit Status – We owe the Foundation Group (hired to work on our non-profit status) $900 once our proposed budget is in place for 2006-2007. Cathy is willing to fill our the necessary papers to submit. Could take up to a year for our status once the budget is received. We then owe $750 to the Federal Govt. and $25 to the State.

P.O Box – Cathy suggested we get a P.O. Box for correspondence and to put on the checks. A motion was made and 2nd.  She is also willing to use her residential address for AGPA’s  account. It will cost $13 to order new checks that do not have Karen’s name and address on them.

Treasurer – As Karen Sewell is no longer with the club, we need a new Treasurer. Kelly McConie was nominated, accepted and unanimously voted into the position.

Upcoming Fundraising Items   this weekend is the last Lot Sale. We receive $100 from the vendor and if we donate any items of our own to sell, we receive 50% of that as well. There are 6 slots available to work on Friday and Saturday.

From now on our Fundraising efforts will follow the 80/20 rule as dictated by the By-laws: 80% goes to individual accounts and 20% goes to the General Fund.

We need to set up a point system. Kelly McConie agreed to head up a subcommittee to determine the point system, as she has previous experience. Subcommitte meeting will be held Monday, September 25 at 6:30. Kelly explained that the point system works by allocating a certain number of points for each job or donation possible. When the event is over, the total profits are divided up and each point is given a $ value. She also added that money earned may not be used for Aerials Gymnastics tuition due to our Non-Profit Status.

Suzanne Murphy & Rene’ Fitch will coordinate our See’s Candy Fundraiser to begin before the holidays.  We are also looking for a SCRIPT coordinator. We discussed having tables in the lobby for the sale of both candy and Script. There are sub-leasing issues that need to be addressed to Annie Baker before we can make further plans.

Eugene McCall – Items to be addressed for future meets:

More toilets, more seating, more trash receptacles, start recycling, more tents, a new scoreboard.

BBQ pit – suggestion was for the Parent Club to buy one. Discussion about how much it would cost to rent just for specific event. Suzanne Murphy said her neighbor might let us use hers for the next event. Eugene also would like to see us have a computer. Others discussed that while some of these things would be nice to have, would it really help our kids get to such things as camp and meets.

Advertising Signs – suggestion that we solicit businesses to advertise at the gym. Aerials itself would receive 75% of profit and Parent Club to get 25%, possibly

General Questions: What exactly is the General Fund used for? Holiday Party, Banquet food, trophies. All General Fund $ must be voted on before it is spent.

Is the Boys Team included in the Parent Club? Yes.

Can level 3’s fundraise? A motion was made and passed to allow level 3’s to fundraise into their child’s account, but they have no voting ability until level 4. Also, should they leave before attaining level 4, their account goes into the General Fund.

Vince Durant suggested it might be helpful for level 1-3 parents to become acquainted with our Parent’s Club by having a representative at the Mini-meets say a few words about our purpose.

Rene’ Fitch asked if the Parent’s Club could pay for a plaque to give to Starbuck’s Coffee who generously donated items. Cathy will look into the pricing.

Minutes from August meeting were approved.

Next meeting: October 16th, 2006
