We welcomed 2 new Boys Team parents to this meeting, Jane Kays and Michelle Uldall and hope that more will follow.

The Aerials Gymnastics Parents Association (AGPA) bank account has been changed to reflect the new treasurer. Kelly McConie has new checks.

The Foundation Group has stated that our Non-profit status application is currently in progress and we have a $900 balance. Cathy Kerner requested an invoice or bill before she sends payment. We also have Federal and State fees to pay. The balance in the General Fund is $5,813.47.

We have wrapped things up with Harold (the Lot Sale vendor) and we will consider having more Sales in the spring.

Kelly McConie handed out the new Point System for our home meets, as well as the various job descriptions. A copy can be found on the Parent Bulletin Board. We discussed the need for nicely presented Raffle Baskets that may include gift cards, but discourage single gift cards as the only Raffle item in a basket. Kelly is in the process of setting up the individual accounts. She needs a current roster.

The next home meet is January 13/14.  There will be 5 sessions. The following have volunteered for various positions: Rene’ Fitch as the Parent Group Coordinator, Kathy Bull & Suzanne Murphy as Concession Coordinators, Cathy Kerner as the Decorations Coordinator, Eugene McCall as the BBQ Coordinator. At the November 13th meeting we will set a date for a Budget Subcommittee to establish a meet budget. Cathy Kerner is working on banners for the visiting teams.

See’s Candy Fundraiser: Rene’ Fitch is the coordinator and she will get a percentage from the 20% that goes into the General Fund. Exact amount will be determined after the sale is completed. She is requesting the order forms for the girls to collect orders with. If we get our order in by December 1st, we will be in time for Christmas delivery. There is a shipping discount for bulk orders. This is a pre-sell venture with checks to be made out to AGPA.

Kelly McConie is concerned there is a misconception about the purpose of AGPA: …..to raise money to defer the cost of this expensive sport, not just for camp. And individual accounts can also pay for leos.  Group Funds can be used to pay for coach’s gifts.

Karen Sewell is selling a size 8/10 competition leo that has never been worn. See Cathy Kerner for more info.

Holiday Party: Coordinator is needed to discuss possible dates with Tanya. Suzanne Murphy volunteered, but she would like to have many helpers. There will be a meeting to discuss further plans on November 6th @ 6:30PM at the gym, including the budget for this event. So far Suzanne, Jane Kays, Kathy Bull and Carl Carlson have committed to helping. Everyone is encouraged to attend that meeting to help make it a great evening for the members of our Teams.  It was determined that this party will be for the team members, as opposed to a family party and we are looking into a Saturday date?

Holiday coach gifts will be presented to the coach’s on their various practice days. One suggestion was a massage.

Mini-meet coming up on October 28th. The Purvis’ will be doing that but we need someone to handle the Raffle.

Minutes from the previous meeting were approved.

Next meeting: November 13th, 6:30PM.
