AGPA MINUTES

March 12, 2007

Parents in attendance: Kelly McConie, Rene Fitch, Kathy Bull, Marlin White, Eugene McCall, Chess DeSouza, Annie Baker, Cathy Kerner, Suzanne Murphy

Approval of Minutes- Motion was made to approve February 5, 2007 AGPA Minutes.

-Motion Passed

Treasurer’s Report-The balance of the AGPA account is $6,758.33. Of that total $2,352.04 are in individual members’ accounts, and the General Fund has a balance of $4,406.29.

Kelly McConie announced that she and her family will be moving back to Texas in June. She unfortunately needed to resign her position as treasurer. A motion was made to appoint Suzanne Murphy as the new treasurer. Suzanne will remain treasurer through June 2008 due to accounting purposes.

Non-Profit Update- Cathy Kerner gave an update of the non-profit status. We have been granted our non-profit status by the State of California, and our now waiting to hear back from the Federal Government. A suggestion was made that we may need to work with an accountant and find out what kind of taxes, paperwork, etc. need to be filed, now that we are tax exempt.

Spring Fundraising-The Aerial’s Summer Camp raffle will run from April 2-May 5. Raffle tickets will be sold for $2 each. Each gymnast will be getting 10-20 tickets in their folder with instructions. The winning ticket will be pulled at the Mini meet in May. Each gymnast can sell as many tickets as they would like. This fundraiser will follow the 80/20 split based off the number of tickets each gymnast sells. Cathy Kerner will design the fliers and print the tickets. Rene’ Fitch will collect the money and tickets from the gymnasts. A lock box will be put in the gym, so the tickets and money can be collected daily.

Pizza Tuesdays- Starting on April 3, Aerials Parents Club will be selling pizza at the gym every Tuesday night. This fundraiser will again be a 80/20 split. Chess DeSouza and Rene’ Fitch volunteered to run the first Tues. A sign-up sheet will be available at the next Parent’s Club meeting for the remainder of the Tuesdays. Chess Desouza has volunteered to organize this fundraiser for us.

Awards Banquet- A separate meeting will be held Mon., March 19 @ 6:30 at the gym to discuss and organize the Spring Awards Banquet. All are invited to attend. We will be deciding on a date, place, time, etc.
