AGPA Minutes

July 24th 2008.

Meeting was called to order by Rene Fitch at 6:40 p.m.

Parents in Attendance: Rene Fitch, Kathy Bull, Jamie Linde, Melissa Black, Tanya Durant, and Chess DeSouza.

Approval of June minutes: Rene Fitch made a motion to approve the June Minutes, Kathy Bull seconded the motion.

Treasurer’s Report: Kathy Bull reported that currently the General fund stands at $3,133.05, The Meet fees fund is at $4,990.65, and the Sponsorship Fund is at $175.00. The grand total for all monies is $8298.70.

Discussion was made regarding two of our home meets; Think Pink and Our first Championship meet Zones. Discussions were held about possibly splitting admissions monies with Aerials Gym. No motion was made and no decisions finalized, we will place it on next month’s agenda for further discussion.

Also regarding the Home meets, Discussion was made that Heather Markovich should contact the Vacaville Reporter to publicize these meets. This too will be discussed further at the next meeting.

AGPA members discussed the earning of points for Vince Durant, and the majority felt he deserved to earn points just like every other parent for his time, regardless of his affiliation with the gym. Another possibility would be a flat rate; this will be discussed at our next meeting.

AGPA will be conducting the Sees fundraiser again this fall. Please look for information soon.

Sponsorships- As of today only one sponsor has come in, discussions were made about the sponsor plaques, and the thank you letter should include our EIN number, along with the amount of the donation. AUGUST 15^TH 2008@ 6:00p.m. A TEAM PHOTO WILL BE TAKEN FOR THE SPONSER PLAQUES, by Melissa Black.

A motion was made to approve $500.00 for Kathy Bull to seek an accountant who specializes in non-profits and to have that accountant review our finances and advises AGPA on the necessity of filing taxes. Rene Fitch motioned first, Kathy bull seconded.

We are still searching for someone to coordinate our San Diego Meet if Interested please see or e-mail Rene Fitch.

Our next meeting will be held on August 14^th 2008, instead of August 7^th, due to an event that the gym will be hosting that evening. Our meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. All parents are welcome! Please join us.
