AGPA Meeting October 2008

Meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m.

Parents in attendance: Marcia Buslett, Shelly Rydjord, Jessica Villa, Lisa Anderson, Hisayo Collins, Cathy Kerner, Melissa Black, Kathy Bull, Rene Fitch, Annie Baker, Chess DeSouza.

Thank you to al the parents in attendance we really appreciate your participation.

Approval of September Minutes: A motion was made to approve the minutes from September by Rene Fitch and Seconded by Kathy Bull.

 Treasurers Report: General Fund is at $3325.03 (Roughly), Sponsorship fund is at: $475.00, Meet Fund is at: $2077.00 with the gas for Santa Cruz still needing to be paid out of that. 

Seeking of the Accountant: Kathy Bull has found an Accountant! He will be expensive though. A special board meeting was held September 25, 2008 and the board approved the funds for this accountant. He will charge us $600.00 to $800.00 for the first year and $600.00 to $800.00 for the second year.

Zones: We will be hosting Zones in about a month it was suggested that Rene meet with Jen Pero to get the information that we will need to send out Registration forms, Purchase medals, set a Fee. We also need to get in touch with Vince Durant to see is he will be able to help with the new Floor teardown , as it has to be taken down a certain way so that we do not damage it. There is a cap on the registration fee of $50.00 per child, Melissa Black is to look into Donations from Rental companies, As well as the Flowers for the State Qualifiers, and Flowers for Purchase. We plan on doing a pre-order form to go out with the registration form so that parents may pre-order their t-shirts. Nevari t-shirts will be making these shirts. 

We will be having another meeting about zones on Friday October 10th at 6:30 to discuss further detail.

Chili’s Fundraiser: Cathy Kerner got the fundraiser to be held at Chili’s on October 14 form 4pm to 10pm. She brought in flyers for parents to pass out to their family and friends. They must have the flyer to get the 10% to go to AGPA We all hope you can participate to support the AGPA!
